African Renaissance Week

The brain drain is one of Africa’s biggest challenges. In a context of an African continent progressively opening itself to business, the time has come for Africans in the Diaspora and Africans in the continent alike to come together to create the African Renaissance.

In this context, African Leadership Connection (ALC) was created with the aim of building the capacity and managerial skills of African movers and shakers that are willing to contribute to change and bring home-grown solutions to tackle the challenges of the continent, and become agents of change for the African Renaissance.

In an attempt to tackle the brain drain challenge, ALC has joined forces with Africa Live Magazine (Berlin, Germany) to promote an African Renaissance Week through a conference in Berlin tentatively scheduled in May 2008 on the theme: Negotiating a Return Strategy for the African Diaspora to the continent.

ALC and African Live Magazine invite all friends of Modern Africa to get involved in making a difference for a better Africa.

P.S. Please stay tuned for updated news about the venue & other related information about the conference.
