I am a Friend of Modern Africa because I really believe that Africa as a continent has come from a historical legacy that now has to be dealt with in terms of challenges. I believe strongly that Africa has a future. And that future really relies on dealing with Africa's problems and challenges. Africa has to build governance issues right because without getting the governance issues correct it will be very very difficult to achieve not also the Millenium Development Goals but also to alleviate poverty. Only by adressing the governance issue, Africa can march to the 21st century with difference. NEPAD and the African Peer Review Mechanism make this difference because they deal with modern governance!
