Antje is German and has been living with her partner in Zanzibar since 93. With an artistic backround and interested in sustainable development she is founding member of the local NGO solarafrica.network supporting the Potsdamer Manifest. She runs the project MOTO, a handicraft network with 150 members, and is currently establishing a food processing project, called DADA. Energy needs are covered through solar cookers and solar dryers. Last year she also released her book “UKILI Plaiting in Zanzibar” with the assistance of the German Embassy, Dar es Salaam.
